Chinatown Story Analysis

The story is being told by itself, but it revolves around Jake Gittes and his investigation of the murder of Mr. Mulrey. The movie says that they had exaggerated and unrealistic acting in intense situations due to the transition from theater. It also says that there was a severe drought at the time. It embodies the universal human trait of how anger, hatred, and/or instability can lead to bad judgment, such as how Mr. Cross murdered Mr. Mulrey or how Mrs. Mulrey shot Mr. Cross.
